When you visit Thailand, you'll be very happy to see some Thai temples. And you should be happy because they are freaking awesome. Wats of Bangkok to the crumbling ruins of Sukhothai, there are plenty of temple in Thailand to satisfy even the hungriest of addicts temple.
It might surprise you, however, to know that you can actually get a little overwhelmed by all the temples on offer, bringing you the suffering of travelers to the disease should be "templed out". Symptoms include lack of enthusiasm for visiting the temples, uttering phrases such as "all these temples resemble" or "Not as good as Angkor Wat," the end result is that you prefer to stay in a hotel with a book instead of venturing.

Fortunately, being templed out was not a problem for us in Thailand, despite having spent days exploring places such as Sukhothai and Ayutthaya. Everywhere we visited was so interesting and different, incomparable and unique.
Phanom Rung was an exception - a temple which is perched on an extinct volcano Road in the eastern part of Thailand, away from the usual north-south road, and a wonderful place for a couple of hours exploration.
Some brief history
I'm not the type to open up the story, but I thought a quick bit of background do you no harm. Phanom Rung was of the Khmer Empire (the same guys who built Angkor Wat), built between the 10th and 13 Century, which makes parts more than Angkor. It is one of five Khmer temple, which can be found in Thailand.
Phnom Rung is a Hindu temple built in dedication to Shiva, and symbolizes Mount Kailash, his heavenly abode. These days it is open to the public in the Phanom Rung Historical Park was also assessed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is a title I think, quite worthy.

Chokchai Farm is located near the north side of Khao Yai National Park. Chokchai Farm allows visitors to learn more about the firm, is the process of breeding and milk production.
